Updates from the H2O International SA franchise

H2O International SA recently held its annual Franchise Meeting, where heads of branches came together to connect, learn and meet some of the groups international suppliers.

One of the highlights on the Franchise Meeting calendar is the evening Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, where top performing franchisees are celebrated.

The 2018 Top Performing Franchise was Century City, Cape Town – they broke all previous records by being the first H2O International SA franchise in history to sell more than R2-million worth of products and services in one month.

The 2018 Best New Franchise was Paarl – we admire their drive and energy to keep going, getting the job done no matter how difficult times may be. They have found the winning combination and within their first four months, signed up 45 new rental contacts.

Best Newcomer: left to right is Ken Lister, Jan-Louis & Leandri du Toit and Tony Marchesini.

We salute all of our award winners.

In addition, H2O International SA head office welcomed two new staff members at this year’s annual Franchise Meeting:
  • Robyn Williams - H2O International SA Financial Manager
With a background in Management Accounting and Hotel Management, Robyn has built her career on her passion for hospitality, strong business and finance; making her the best candidate to take over the running of H2O’s financial department. Robyn also recently qualified as a CA.
  • Ian Morris – H2O International SA Operations & New Business Development Manager
With twenty-five years’ experience in the South African retail industry, Ian has a proven track record of combining strategic approach with detailed operational implementation and the execution of effective marketing strategies. He is best suited to take the company forward in terms of new business development.
  • Giovanni Marchesini - H2O International SA Hospitality & Marketing
With his background in Marketing and his internship under the Founder of H2O International, Guillermo Guzman, in the USA; Giovanni is best placed to manage market research and take a leading role in the Hospitality and Marketing strategy of the company.

Further to this, H2O International SA has taken the decision to evolve business strategy in line with the unpredictable retail landscape and changing consumer trends, as the company adapts its franchise model by lifting the timeline in which a franchise must open a retail space. This is in order to give new franchisees the scope to scout for optimal retail positions and build their rental business before outlaying capital for retail space. It’s just another way that H2O as an organisation is committed to making sure that their franchises have the support to succeed and select the ideal location in their canvassing area.
