Sandwich Baron acknowledges top performing franchisees
Johannesburg, 26 November 2012:- Sandwich
Baron recently rewarded its top three performing franchisees at their annual
celebratory year-end event held last week.
The company’s franchisee awards take into account its
64 stores nationwide, and evaluate each store against a number of criteria
which include the store’s turnover, growth, store and staff management as well
as compliance to their franchise agreement.
Sally J’Arlette Joy, founder and managing director of
Sandwich Baron says that it’s important to acknowledge franchisees for their
efforts throughout the year, not only as an incentive to work towards but also
to uphold brand standards which foster franchise growth.
“Sandwich Baron’s franchisee awards have a high
standard and we only have three categories for a reason, we don’t just
acknowledge for the sake of it. I have found that this method motivates
franchisees further because when a business owner is recognised, he or she
knows that it is well deserved.”
The winners of the three categories are as follows:
Franchisee of the Year - Susanna Kruger, owner
of Sandwich Baron Lynwood walked away with the coveted title of Franchisee of
the Year. Kruger took ownership of the store on 1 October 2010, soon after
which she had to take on some personal battles of her own. Despite the hurdles,
Kruger decided that instead of being defeated she would rather continue to work
and focus her energy on her passion of serving the Lynwood and surrounding
communities.
Most Improved Store of the Year - Renata
Tedesco, owner of Sandwich Baron Wynberg, acquired the store when it was
plagued by a high number of armed robberies. Despite the risk, Tedesco didn’t
let anything get in the way of compromising store operations which included
upgrading the store visually and inserting bullet proof glass at counter
points. She was still able to increase turnover by R150,000.
Best Regional Store of the Year – Sandwich
Baron Klerksdorp, owned by Stuart Kruger, took top honours in this category as
he continuously works to ensure that the highest standards are met in terms of
service delivery, quality meal offerings and customer and staff
relations. In addition the store is immaculately well managed and hardly
any complaints are made toward the store. Stuart Kruger also owns Sandwich
Baron Potchefstroom.
“Judging the above mentioned categories was not an
easy task, as many of the store owners continuously initiate efforts to improve
their stores performance and management. However, I am pleased with the outcome
and trust that all stores will work towards a prosperous 2013,” concludes
J’Arlette-Joy.
