Scooters Pizza franchisee has a taste for franchising
Having proven that he has the necessary ingredients for a successful franchising recipe, Northern Cape’s multiple franchise owner, Johan Lamprecht recently launched his third Scooters Pizza outlet, this time in Postmasburg.
Lamprecht has already achieved notable results through his ownership of Scooters Pizza Kuruman, located at the Caltex on Main Street and Scooters Pizza Kathu, located at Kathu Village Mall, which opened in November 2010 and June 2011 respectively.
He notes that the Kuruman outlet has largely monopolised the local market, while the Kathu outlet continues to thrive, which resulted in the latter winning Newcomer of the Year at Scooters Pizza’s Operational Awards.
Lamprecht asserts that he is confident of similar results for Scooters Pizza Postmasburg.
“I firmly believe that the store will become the preferred take away outlet for the Postmasburg community, and that customers won’t be able to resist Scooters Pizza’s slice of the good life, which is complimented by impeccable service and money saving specials.
Christo Calitz, CEO of Taste Holdings Food Division affirms that Lamprecht’s proven credentials will translate into long term success for all three stores.
“Johan has already demonstrated that through his personal, innovative and hardworking leadership style that he has the capacity to manage multiple franchises. It stands to reason that he will achieve comparable outcomes with Scooters Pizza Postmasburg, and that all the stores under his ownership will prove to be dominant forces for an extended period of time.”
Lamprecht’s hands on leadership style has proved critical to the smooth operation of all three stores, as every week he works shifts in order to keep track of each store’s progress. This active management has been complemented by professional and capable managers, with firm targets and budgets being set, as well as incentive programmes being implemented relating to gross profit margins, head office evaluations and targets.
Calitz concludes that Scooters Pizza’s operational model provides a base for franchise owners, such as Lamprecht, to flourish.
