Scooters Pizza Awards Brand Champions
Johannesburg, 30 July 2012 – Scooters Pizza recently acknowledged and rewarded their brand champions at their annual Operational Awards ceremony, held on 18 July 2012.
The annual campaign, which ran from September 2011 to May 2012, focuses on evaluating various aspects and flagship qualities that make an award winning store. The campaign reaffirms Scooters Pizza’s [XX] nationwide stores’ commitment to uphold brand standards, foster franchise growth for the store and the franchise network, and to serve only the Hottest.Tastest.Fastest. pizzas and meals.
Scooters Pizza’s Managing Executive, Jeanne Geldenhuys says that several aspects are crucial in brand building.
“Implementation of brand standards; exceptional customer service and hospitality; effective locality marketing which entrench a store into the local community; necessary leadership and hands-on management; and most importantly, quality meal offerings are just a few of the toppings that add to Scooters Pizza’s brand appeal.
“It is precisely these factors that we aim to drive, measure and reward through our Operational Awards every year. In doing so, we collectively strengthen our brand value and performance, whilst providing a great Scooters Pizza experience to our customers.”
The winners in each respective category are as follows:
Highest Percentage Growth Year on Year - Scooters Pizza Knysna generated an overall of 42.10% growth in sales for the campaign period. Competing for the title was Scooters Pizza’s Montana and Fish Hoek stores.
Highest Rand Value Growth Year on Year – Scooters Pizza Vanderbijlpark’s turnover growth for the campaign period valued at just under R500,000. Finalists included Scooters Pizza’s Lephalale and Middelburg stores.
Operational Excellence Award - Scooters Pizza Durbanville achieved the highest total assessment score, which evaluates elements such as the look and feel of the shop, fully trained staff, product quality, cleanliness, etc. Finalists included Scooters Pizza’s Lenasia and Strand stores.
Newcomer of the Year - Scooters Pizza Kathu walked away with this award as the store generated the best percentage growth on a month to month basis, as well as received one of the best operational scores. Competing for the title was Scooters Pizza’s Knysna and Stanger stores.
Franchisee of the Year - Following an excellent combined average of percentage growth, Rand growth as well as a 90% operational assessment score, Scooters Pizza Lephalale walked away with the coveted title.
As part of the Taste Holdings stable, each Scooters Pizza category winner received an overseas vacation for two to Turkey, which will be enjoyed in September this year, along with Maxi’s Franchisee Award winners which were announced in March 2012.
