Domino’s Pizza and East Coast Radio make birthday dreams come true

Kayla
When Damon Beard of East Coast Radio approached Domino’s Pizza to help make a little girl’s eighth birthday a happy occasion, the answer was an immediate and resounding yes. The Atholl Heights store in KwaZulu-Natal recently promptly pulled out all the stops for a “make your own pizza party” for Kayla and 15 of her friends.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Kayla’s mom, Michelle, was heartbroken at the prospect of not being able to give her daughter a birthday party this year.  Michelle contacted Damon’s “Big Favour” slot to ask if there was anything he could do to help and Damon lost no time in contacting Suraj Roopen, Operations Manager of Domino’s Pizza corporate stores in KwaZulu-Natal.

Suraj not only agreed to arrange the pizza party at short notice, but threw in several extras that really made Kayla’s day, including a face painter, balloons and, of course, a birthday cake!

“Domino’s Pizza is committed to the communities in which we operate and to the customers we serve,” says Lindy Taoushiani, Divisional Marketing Executive of Taste Holdings. “Part of that commitment is making sure we’re taking good care of our customers by giving back through community activities like this one.”

Michelle concludes, “It’s such a tough world out there, but Domino’s Pizza made the sun shine for my little girl on her birthday this year. We are so grateful for their kindness and generosity and we wish Domino’s Pizza great success and may they continue to open many new stores across the country.”
